Baseball team continues its streaking ways

The Bethel baseball team got off to a great start this year, winning nine of its first ten games and eight straight at one time.  However, after getting off to a 9-1 start the Pilots then lost five straight games in Crossroads league play. And now the team is back on a winning streak with three straight W’s against Crossroads League opponents, including a sweep of Grace during a doubleheader on Monday, March 27. The Pilots are now 12-6 overall, 3-5 in Crossroads league action.

Senior Austin Branock is having an extraordinary year so far, hitting over 500 with two home runs and 23 runs batted in. Senior Heath Brooksher is also having a great season. He’s hitting over 400 so far this year with two home runs and 23 RBI.

Bethel was scheduled to play Judson in a doubleheader today, March 28,  but the games were cancelled. They are scheduled to play Indiana Wesleyan in Marian on Wednesday,  March 29 and then Goshen in Goshen on March 31.
