Men’s soccer team ends great season with loss in semi-finals of Christian College Nationals

The men’s soccer team finished its season with a heartbreaking loss in the semi-finals of the Christian College National Tournament in Florida. The Pilots advanced to the final four during the tournament with a 2-1 win against Oklahoma Baptist on Nov. 28 and a 3-0 shutout of Houghton College on Nov. 30. They then faced Emmanuel College on Dec.2 and fell 1-0.

It was another heartbreaking loss for the Pilots, who just missed out on a bid to the more prestigious NAIA Tournament when they lost in overtime to Spring Arbor in the finals of the Crossroads League Tournament.

Coach Thiago Pinto told the Bethel Sports Network that this has been a great year for the team, both on and off the field. The pilots finished with a 13-8-3 record overall and finished 6-2-1 in Crossroads league play.
