The Bethel men’s soccer team opened the season with a 1-0 win over the Golden Eagles of Cornerstone University on Wednesday, Aug. 19 in . Senior goalkeeper Isaac Lindahl was on top of his game as the Pilots survived getting outshot 6-1 in the first period.
The Pilots picked up the pace in the second half and junior Pedro Amaral booted in the game’s only goal at the 63rd minute mark.
Three days later Bethel was on the other end of a shutout, losing 2-0 against Marygrove in Detroit, Michigan.
The Pilots are now 1-1 this season. The next game is on the road against Moody Bible Institute Aug. 29.
